Rey Del Rio/Getty ImagesUFC denied reports Brock Lesnar has re-entered the USADA drug testing pool, according to Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting. He informed UFC of his retirement—and, thus, was taken out of the USADA testing pool—in February. UFC vice president of athlete health and performance Jeff Novitzky told Raimondi that Lesnar had not re-entered the pool. Earlier, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported Lesnar has re-entered the USADA testing pool for MMA after exiting when he formally announced his retirement from the sport in February. If Lesnar's serious about a return to UFC sometime in 2018, odds are these rumors are true.

If Lesnar's rumored return to the UFC are proven to be just that, it's a good thing. Lesnar had similar flirtations with UFC during the final year of his previous contract in 2015 when he attended UFC 184. Lesnar saw a career renaissance in UFC after leaving WWE at the peak of his powers in 2004. After Lesnar's run was derailed by diverticulitis, the crossover star was improbably reunited with WWE in 2012. And though influential Twitter account @TalkMMA seemed certain that sources were indicating yet another Brock Lesnar return to the Octagon, UFC has poured water on a 24-hour firestorm of rumors by vehemently denying these reports.
